Dr. Jason Karsky,
Department of Sociology, Psychology, and Criminal Justice
Dr. Karsky began teaching at Wayne State College in 1999. He graduated with a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of North Dakota and a M.S. in Criminal Justice from St. Cloud State University. He earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from South Dakota State University.
He has authored and co-authored published articles related to stepfamily issues. His current writings focus on stepmother self-role congruency and issues in self-role merger.

He is a faculty advisor for the WSC Criminal Justice Association, is a member of the TRUST Coalition (Towards Responsible Use of Substances Today), serves on the Scholarship, Honors, and Financial Aid Committee, participates in service learning, and is Secretary/Treasurer of the Great Plains Sociological Association.
Awards and honors include two governor's commendations for work with at-risk youth in the State of Minnesota, and development of an innovated youth program which still plays an active role in serving at-risk youth in central Minnesota.
