All Spring 2004 programs begin on January, 21!!

Senior Wellness
This is a program available to senior citizens ages 55+ every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. There are several options within this program.  Check them out!

  • Water Aerobics (7:40 to 8:40 a.m.)
  • Theraband/Free weightsclass (7:30-8:00 a.m.)
  • Stretching/Balanceclass (8:00-8:20 a.m)
  • Walking/biking/weight training (7:00-8:30 a.m.)
  • Blood Pressure assessments (7:00-8:30 a.m.)






Services for the Wayne State Campus
We offer a variety of services to full-time students, faculty and staff of Wayne State College. 

    • Personal Training
      • Personal training is abailable to any student, faculty or staff member for a cost of $10 per semester.  A senior exercise student will meet with you, help clarify and determine your goals and design a personalized wellness plan that takes into account your time constraints and exercise  preferences.  Call Kelly at 375-7304 to sign up.
    • Diet Analysis
      • A computerized diet analysis is available to help you improve your daily nutrition plan.  
    • Exercise Assessment
      • Have your cardiorespiratory fitness as well as your muscle strenght and edurance assesed.  A program will be specifically designed for you based on your goals and assesments.  
    • Body Composition
      • Under water weighing or skinfold testing is available to aid in setting reasonable weight management goals.  
    • WSC Wellnes News
      • This publication comes out monthly and provides exercise stress management and nutrition tips.  
Noon Hour Aerobics
Monday and Wednesdays, 12:10-12:50
This is a combination of step aerobics, floor aerobics, kickboxing, or yoga, depending on the day!  All sessions are taught by senior level exercise science students and include a warmup, twenty minute aerobic session, cool down, and an abdominal workout session. Come join us to increase your fitness level. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend

Workshops
Wellness services provides workshops on a number of different topics for classes, dorms,and brown bag lunch programs.  Subject areas include fitness, nutrition, stress management, and weight management.  If you are interested in having a workshop for your campus group, call the Wellness office at 375 - 7304.
