Sport Management Minor
-
Our culture is saturated with sport.
Sport is a part of our daily lives, and it generates billions of dollars
annually, however careers in sports are not limited to athletes.
The business of sport has seen a dramatic increase in recent years, and
a wide array of sport professionals are required in order to make the sport
events that take place at both the amateur and professional level happen. This is the career venue for the graduate in Sport Management.
A student must meet the following requirements
before being allowed to enter the fieldwork program (internship):

Complete all General Education requirements.

Completion of all Sport management major courses.

Have a cumulative Grade Point of 2.50 or higher.

Earn a grade of 3.0 or better in PED 140 and
410
NOTE:
-
A 2.5 or above cumulative GPA is also necessary
to graduate.

Students must maintain a 2.5 cumulative grade
point average to be eligible to enroll in PED 385, 411, 450, and 485.
-
Computer requirement for the major will be
met with PED 487 Computer Applications in HHPS.

General
Education Requirements must also be completed.
