Wayne State College offers a MSE in Mathematics.  This program is designed to (1) give teachers renewed enthusiasm, (2) provide for professional growth and development, (3) improve teachers' skill in problem solving and in the teaching of problem solving, (4) refresh, update, and extend their knowledge of mathematics.

Requirements for admission to the program are a BA or BS degree in education from an accredited institution with a subject or field endorsement in Mathematics, completed application form, official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work and GRE general test with minimum total of 1400 points and minimum of 400 in any of the three categories.

A typical program of study (36 hours, non-thesis) will include:

EDU 627 Current Issues and Trends
EDU 650 Research Design
EDU 658 Fundamentals of Curriculum Development K-12
EDU 674 History/Philosophy of Education
12 hours of Mathematics at the 600 level
9-15 hours of Mathematics Electives
0-6 hours of Education Electives
