Companies For and Against
Did you know
that NOWHERE in the world is animal testing of cosmetics, toiletries, or
household cleaners actually required by law? Well it’s true.
In most countries the law just simply says that cosmetics and toiletries
must be safe for human use.
So why do industries still test their products on animals? Basically
it is just to defend the company against consumer lawsuits.
Many people
are so disgusted with companies that test their products on animals that
they completely avoid buying anything associated with the companies brand
name. To check out a list of companies that DO and DO NOT use animals
to test there products click

However, even
though it is not a required law, the FDA still strongly urges cosmetic
manufacturers to do whatever it takes and conduct whatever tests possible
to make sure that there product is completely safe. Even though the
FDA is currently working with various organizations to develop alternatives,
they still believe that animal testing is necessary to ensure the safety
of cosmetic products. To check out more information on the FDA and
animal use in testing click
