| The
CITE is a service organization that believes that no matter how good we
are now, we should be asking, "what can we do to become even better?" [Origins
of The CITE]
Mission: To provide
faculty with the assistance they need to improve their teaching.
Vision: To build a campus
community that values effective teaching.
Goals: The Center's
goals are to help the faculty:
1. develop the variety
of teaching skills needed for today's increasingly diverse classroom;
2. use educational technology
efficiently and appropriately;
3. assess their own teaching
and develop collegial relationships;
4. by providing instructors
assistance with assessment issues;
5. find greater intrinsic
satisfaction in their teaching.
(*Our Center's mission and
goals were developed using ideas and suggestions from Peter Seldin's
book "Improving College Teaching, 1995, Anker Publishing." ) |
