HOW  TO  WRITE  A  PAPER  FOR  DR.  ELLIS'  CLASS

                    RULE #1:  Write the paper several days prior to the due date.

                    RULE #2:  DO NOT wait to write the paper until the night before it is due.

                                        If you do not follow rules #1 and #2, inevitably:

                                                        you will get sick

                                                        your computer will crash

                                                        you will not be able to access an article you must read

                                                        the electricity will go off

                                                        the dog/cat will get sick

                                                        you will get a hangnail

                                                        your roommate/spouse/child/cat/dog will get sick

                RULE #3:  After writing the paper for the first time, let it sit for a day or two, then return to it with fresh eyes.  Check

                punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, consistency, coherence, antecedents.
