An introduction to the physiological processes and anatomical features of the body which are related to and affected by physical activity and training.  Systems covered include integumentary, skeletal, and muscular.
Course Objectives:
  1. To provide the student with an understanding of homeostasis and the feedback mechanism
  2. To provide the student with an understanding of cell structure, organ function, and organ systems.
  3. To provide the student with an understanding of fundamental biological chemistry.
  4. To provide the student with knowledge of the structure and function of the skeletal system, including specific anatomical landmarks, along with bone growth and development.
  5. To provide the student with an understanding of the muscular system and muscle actions as they relate to human movement, including motor skills, as well as muscular development and "learning" (neuromuscular adaptations).
