Technology Assessment

Elementary, Early Childhood Unified, and Middle Level Education majors must complete a technology assessment for Gateway Two.

What Do I do?

Check the Technology Assessment bulletin board next to ED 132.
• This is in the first floor faculty offices area.
• The description of the specific skills is posted on this bulletin board.
• You can also find the list on this Word document: Technology Skills Expected by Gateway Two
• Check the list of names to see how many skills you need to complete.

Then What?

I think I know most of the required skills…
• Visit the Education Tutors and take the skills tests – no fees, retakes allowed, take as many or as few as you can at any one visit.

I took all three EDU 225 Educational Technology courses here at WSC…
• You should be in the ‘completed’ list. If not, contact the Field Experience Office.

I took one or two of the EDU 225 classes here at WSC…
• Visit the Education Tutors and take the skills tests for the missing requirements.

I took computer classes at a different school…
• Find your syllabus (if you can!) and proof that you passed the class (grade slip, unofficial transcript. Take those to the Field Experience Office; they will direct you to the appropriate faculty member.

I think my name is in the wrong place on the list…
• Contact the Field Experience Office.

I have no idea what this is all about…
• Talk to your advisor!
