Gateways Chart

For many years, the progress of teacher candidates at Wayne State has been monitored using a gateway system. The requirements and assessments for passage through the gateways are well known by the candidates and closely monitored by the unit. Professional Education Services Office (PESO) is chiefly responsible for tracking candidates and maintaining records of progress while the Professional Progress Committee (PPC) is charged with advising candidates whose progress is at risk.
