"Pie" a Librarian!


Charissa Loftis and Dave Graber will be targets at the Professor Pie-Fest Pie-In-The-Face Auction. The Pie-Fest takes place at 4 pm on April 26 in the Student Center Atrium. Funds raised go to help rebuild the Joplin Public Library which was destroyed in a tornado last year.


Juried Student Art Exhibit opens Monday, April 21


Come see the work produced by WSC Art Students! The Opening Reception will run from 4:30 - 6 pm on April 21st.



Extended hours start April 16


The Library will extend its hours for the last 3 weeks of the semester. Beginning April 16 the Library will remain open until 1 AM, Sunday - Thursday.



Library Hours for the Easter Holliday


The Library will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8. Normal hours will resume on Monday, April 9.


Senior Student Art Exhibit opens Monday, April 2


Come see the paintings and sculpture produced by our Senior Art Students! The Opening Recption will run from 4:30 - 6 pm on April 2nd.



Library Remodeling Forum for Students - Wednesday, March 21, 8pm


Design consultants will be on campus again to discuss the future of our Library building. Please consider attending an Open Forum session on Wednesday, March 21 at 8pm. The forum for students will occur in the Library's Reference/Periodical Room. Please attend and contribute your ideas. Refreshments will be provided!



Spring Break Hours


A quick reminder that we will be have reduced hours over Spring Break. We will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3. The Library will be open from 8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday, March 4-8. The Library will be closed again on Saturday, March 9, and then will resume normal Spring Semester hours on Sunday, March 10



Opening Reception at the Art Gallery, Monday, Feb 27


The Art and Design Department is hosting an opening reception for Marlene Mueller on Monday, Feb. 27. Into the Ashes II is a series of charcoal drawings that were completed during Mueller's sabbatical in Spring 2011. The college community is invited to attend between 4:30 - 6 p.m. at the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery located in Conn Library. Refreshments will be served.


Library Remodeling Open Forums


Design consultants will be on campus to discuss the future of our Library building. Please consider attending an Open Forum session on Monday, February 13. A forum for students will occur at 5:30pm in the Student Center's Lower Level Food Court. The faculty/staff forum will be at 4pm in Connell Hall 131. Please attend and contribute your ideas!
